It has been reported that J-Hope of BTS, who is currently serving in the military, was mentioned as an emcee for a military event, but it was cancelled.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, they have been reviewing and coordinating with his agency the possibility of J-Hope appearing as a host in the final round of the International Military Cooking Competition held yesterday (7th). However, due to the Minister of National Defense's withholding, it became something that never happened.
Minister Shin Won-sik explained at the general meeting of the National Assembly's Budget and Accounts Special Committee, "It is better and natural for BTS to do their military service as hard as other warriors." At the same time, he added, "From now on, I have instructed that soldiers who joined the military after working as entertainers should not be asked to do anything other than their assigned duties." J-Hope, who enlisted last April, is currently serving as an assistant instructor at the Army's 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center.
